Nothing could be redone without cleaning out the playroom first. All the toys went up to the girls bedroom they are old enough now to play up there or carry down what they want to play with and take it back when they are done. I would leave some toys but not all of them and some went to charity no kid needs that many toys! I also had my husband take the old computer out that was an energy waster because it just sat there plugged in rarely used to watch Netflix. Cleaning this room took FOREVER the last thing I did was remove the pink shag rug the girls had to have….good bye pink!
Then the redo began it all starts with a plan and a can ….. Spray paint that is!! Krylon indoor outdoor is my favorite I used it for everything (more post later on what we used it for outside) and no I am certainly not a paid spokesperson haha.
There were several pieces in the playroom that I wanted to keep but not in the colors that they were I went through more black and red spray paint than I can count…..First get the cat off the bench….
then my favorite part painting the front lawn, I mean painting the furniture (-:
After it dries….get the cat out….again.
The next piece to paint was a clothes hamper, one night when I was watching tv with the girls I kept staring at this thing thinking what can I turn it into….
well what else would go with a movie room?
I printed out a popcorn sign on sticker paper and modge podged popcorn scrapbooking paper to the lid. I loved it and the girls did too, they put all their barbies in it, one of the toys I let them keep in that room~
I couldn’t help but look at the chairmat something had to be done it was so plain.
I pulled out my scrapbook paper once more and started gluing
I was loving this redo nothing huge but a great change! I had a lot of great ideas with one HUGE redo to come.
I will work on the next post look for it soon (- :
