Two Peas and Camping at Hocking Hills

As as Girl Scout Leader I have camped with my daughters and our troop several times….but not tent camping.  SO when my friend Jen saw we were hiking Hocking Hills and all over she suggested we go camping at Hocking Hills just one night since it was our first real time tent camping. I mean we had spent the night in a tent but only in the back yard where we can run inside the house if ever need but TENT camping HOW FUN!  So we looked up different spots and she found this one ….

We stayed at the Family Fun Center site so the kids could do go carts and mini golf.  It also had hiking trails and a creek to explore.

My girls and I got there a couple hours before Jen and her kids so I could stare at this and ponder how I was suppose to put the tent up because I never had before! and the ex had used it a lot so the directions were faded but it was cool there was three of us smart girls there between us …. we got this ! (even of there was some cursing and foot stomping by me not the girls LOL)

It took a few tries but….

We did it! all while watching the sky turn from a beautiful sunny blue to grayer and grayer and this mom going into panic mode…rain whyyyyy??

Once Jen and the kids got there they set their tent up in five minutes …show offs LOL !

Then the rain…..we hid in the car the kids in the tents it was so hot….then the girls come running out of our tent….it leaks would have been good know it leaked before we went. Once the rain stopped we tried to get the fire started for hot dogs…for awhile Skylar tried to keep the wood dry :)

We were able to get it going but the kids wanted to drive the go karts before it rained hard. So we walked over to the track !

Then the rain! I thought they would have to stop but they kept going poor Phoebe was in a kids cart so her car was super slow but she didn’t mind! They were all having a blast.

Ah camping…… we had another girl scout troop call us Troop Beverly Hills once I know it was meant to be funny in a mean way but you now what I’d rather be in a cabin yes, yes I would…

We got the fire going again after the rain stopped or the third time and made hot dogs.

THEN I know it’s shocking but MORE RAIN this time we ran clean across the way to a pavilion….the moms stayed under it while the kids ran around Phoebes t shirt just kept getting longer the more it got soaked it was hysterical!

We sent almost two hours under than pavilion it was miserable….my love of nature of the rain kind is loved mostly by watching it from indoors…back to the site Jen was able to get the fire going again for smores ….as for me….

So we made it an early to tent night we let the bigs sleep in the leaky tent bu I had enough blankets that we were able to make a hedge so none of the water got on the girls. While the moms and littles slept in Jen’s bigger tent….somehow though the Pheebs had me all the way by the tent wall all that room and I had none…:(

But I woke up to this sweet face…not so sweet morning breath LOL !

We woke up to a beautiful morning the sun was shining so we got up and had breakfast, cleaned up and decided we would ply a round of mini golf and then go to the creek before we headed home….

Mini golf seemed like a great idea…they had fun the first half of the game !

Then I think they were just tired because honestly even I was done….I just wanted a shower….SO we drove down to the river site to eat lunch and wow that was the spot. While the others finished eating I walked over to the creek we couldn’t see it where we were.  It was breathtaking and the random canoe was pretty cool.

It was all over once the kids got down there thankfully I still had dry towels !

This was without a doubt the best part for the kids I couldn’t get Phoebe out of the water to leave!

Eventually we got her out and back over the hill to the car.  We said our goodbyes to the Cashes and were on our way….

My favorite part….

On our way back to shower AHHHHH …honestly if the weather was better it would have been a lot more fun just not being able to hike or explore kinda blew BUT we will try again and we will rent a cabin even our friends agree to that one!

Two Peas and Highbanks Metro Park

Wanting to keep hiking and visit new parks we visited Highbanks Metro Park it had a ton of trails to hit so we were pretty excited, plus the girls love the natural playgrounds and they had one!

We went to the nature center first just to check it out and grab a map.  Outside the building they had an Eagles Nest that they encouraged you too add too…..it was all good and well until the littlest pea ran up to it and got stabbed in the leg…..needless to say she said they can build it themselves and ran off to climb the fallen branches.

Once the band aid was put on the stab wound we ran inside to get the map, it was pretty amazing inside too….

They had insects, snakes, fish and so much information about the parks and the girls could just go no need to keep saying don’t touch that because it was all there to touch and explore.

After about 30 minutes though it was time to start hiking, we went out the back door and saw a baby raccoon but he was so fast we didn’t get a picture….we did see about 40 people hunting Pokemon though it was kind of funny that they are looking for these things on their phones not once looking up to see the real animals right in front of them….luckily no one walked into the bee hive~ BZZZZZZ

I feel so lucky sometimes that my daughters can appreciate nature and visiting these parks (stay tunes for a blog post later this month about a day we DID NOT appreciate nature while camping LOL!)

Another 90 degree weather day ….. we didn’t care lets find that natural playground!

They made a tepee ( Pyper and I helped after Phoebe got stuck in this position! )

No pictures were taken of us all climbing the trees though, no hands to hold the phone and according to the girls I don;t have to take pictures of everything….which is untrue but whatever….so here’s more!

It was seriously a beautiful day just look at those clouds!  We made our way to the creek Phoebe’s favorite part….until we saw a bazillion mosquitoes~

Needless to say we stuck to the trails …..

Two Peas and a Camera

Two Peas and a Camera

The girls and I love taking pictures of just about everything and on this day we wanted to be outside in the beautiful weather taking pictures at the Topiary Park downtown.

So we grabbed the back pack with snacks, the red & white sheet and took off again.

It was a Saturday where they had an event happening they called it

PBJ & Jazz Family Concert Series

Every Saturday in the summer~

You can see what other events they offer here: http://www.topiarypark.org/events.html

We had parked around the block and walked over passing some amazing buildings that they would take pictures of on our way back.

It didn’t take long for Pyper to jump right in taking pictures of the water features.

So we walked around to the area without all the kids but could still hear the music, there were people walking and talking, a cute couple on a date having a picnic and even a table with people from the city doing crafts with the tiny kids.  Pyper saw a tree and immediately ran to take pictures, she even caught me on the outside watching her take pictures inside the leaves.

I am not a fan of how I look (turns out there are no make me look younger and slimmer filters on this camera LOL on another note I am trying to work out and moisturize bahahaha) but you can see Phoebe behind me on our striped sheet in the perfect spot just taking in all the people, ducks and topiary creations around her waiting for her turn with the camera.

Of course we had to take a selfie inside the tree!

She caught us observing her photography techniques🙂

She might have caught me taking her picture too ~

Pyper’s pics:

Phoebe waited OH SO PATIENTLY but she went second because lets face it we knew she wouldn’t be giving the camera back to sis so easily~ !

Phoebe focused on the topiaries, flowers and the signs she absolutely loves this can’t wait to do this again with the fall leaves.

I had to keep an eye on her but she wanted space….just like her sister she caught me watching…..but that’s my job!

Phoebe’s pics:

My turn! I thought it was a great day to get pics of the girls too they looked beautiful personalities shining through with what they decided to wear out that day.

The doll on the other hand …. “Phoebe Can I take a few without your doll?”

We moved over to the other side and got silly it was almost 90 degrees and we had been here for about four hours they might have been getting tired, so we busted out the snacks and chilled under a tree🙂

As you all know we are Girl Scouts maybe not your typical Scouts but Scouts none the less meaning we bring the back pack it has the trusty first aid kit and ice packs just in case!  Well the ice packs come in super handy when the girls get super hot. We were glistening that day that’s for sure.

Phoebe laid comfortably under the tree and actually took some pretty amazing shots….

Some randoms who ever wasn’t in it took it🙂 !

On our way back to the car shenanigans !~

We took so many pictures I am going to make the girls books so they can look at all the great pictures they took and they can only get better!

Troop 1391’s Summer Weekend at Camp Wakatomika

This past summer (2014) Troop 1391 had their first full weekend at camp and it was a blast rain and all these girls had fun!

Getting ready for our first full weekend I made fire starters, tested out the crafts we made t-shirt bags so I used mine as the charades game holder! We made dog tags and sharpie tie die t-shirts too.  We also made bug jars and had bug catchers and little magnifying glasses to look at but not keep the bugs (-:

Our first night we watched movies and had popcorn while each of the girls arrived.  Some of the girls went on a hike while it was day light too.  And of course they played a mean game of charades!

movies charades

The next day though they all went out Ms Lisa and Ms Erin took them during the day and then Ms Lisa and I took them for their night hike!

Our Juniors made a perfect fire for hot dogs smores and more!

Our Daisies and Brownies made solar pizza!

DSCN0738 DSCN0743

Pretty proud of these scouts!

 These were awesome!

Of course we did crafts through out the weekend I send these kids home with a ton of stuff!

On day three our Daisies were getting a bit tired LOL (that’s the littlest pea right there getting too hot to move) SO…..

We brought out the water balloons and water blasters!

That cooled them off!FotorCreatedA little group shot by the cabin before the parents picked them up (-:

Here is our camp menu  CAMP MENU   and a letter for the parents on  What To bring    Now what we did with the walking tacos….we made it like a to go lunch in case parents came early it wouldn’t keep them from getting on the road.

My whole troop cleaned the cabin and it sparkled I really believe we were the first ones there in quite some time because it was not in good shape either.  I am proud of my girls for taking the time to clean it up and make it wonderful for the next troop.

After the troop left; the peas and I stayed and clean the fire pit up (this was almost 2 hours of hard work but we did it!), when we got there it was in horrible condition looks like the last people to use it never cleaned it out and it sat all winter.   The youngest pea cleaned out all the chunks of wood laying around and the oldest pea helped me move the old ashes.  Remember as a Scout you must leave things better than they were when you got there.

One last shot of the peas and we were on our way home ! Hot sweaty messes ready to fight for the shower LOL!   We can not wait until next year!

Here is a list of things I needed to make our weekend a success it may help you too!

One Pea, Two Cavities

Have you ever felt compelled to write a letter to tell a company or person just how great they were?

I always find myself telling everyone at work, the day after one of the Peas Dentist appointments, just how awesome our Dentist Dr. Mitchell and Hygienist Heather is.  From the very first appointment  Heather walked each Pea through the process, let them see and feel if possible everything they would be using for their appointment.  Pyper was an old pro by the time Phoebe had her first appointment at 3 1/3 years old.  So being the awesome big sister she can be (I said can be!) she prepared her for her first appointment.  (picture here is from December not our last or first appointment)

This time,  however, Heather exceeded the expectations of any parent when she had to tell Phoebe she had not one cavity BUT two.

The look on Phoebe’s face was pure sadness, she brushes as she should; but probably needed more help with those back teeth.  I just took for granted that she got them, luckily these are baby teeth and will eventually fall out. BUT STILL! Anyway, Sissy had a cavity last time so she assured Phoebe she wouldn’t feel a thing.  I hope this is the last of them!

That shot above it before she was told the news! Yikes!   Although they do love going to the dentist (-:

I made the appointment for Phoebe’s filling for that Monday.  That is when we had the pleasure of meeting Ms Amy who told Phoebe her only job was to keep her mouth open wide.  (but not right now LOL)

Ms Amy and Dr Mitchell both went through each of the tools that they would use, showed her what her filling was made out of, gave her a couple little brushes to hold and made her super comfortable.   She really was listening to Dr Mitchell but they also put Disney on the TV in front of her after Ms Amy talked to her LOL  (-:

The only thing they kept from her was the needle to numb her mouth and boy was Dr Mitchell sly. He  had it hidden by his sleeve so she wouldn’t see it LOL.  She didn’t see a thing and the pre-numbing solution must have worked; but just in case it didn’t Ms Amy slowly put her arm over her in case she tried to put her hands to her mouth.  These two are no rookies!

By the way Phoebe didn’t even flinch!

After waiting for the numbing to take over the fun began and again Phoebe never moved.  Dr Mitchell  and Ms Amy assured her the while time that she was doing great! She was amazing!

Once Dr Mitchell drilled the tooth, Ms Amy finished up the filling polishing and making it smooth.   Phoebe being Phoebe tried to catch the filling dust as it came out….yep that’s Phoebe.

So, although it’s NOT something I wanted to have to do with either of the kids (Pyper was 9 and didn’t want me back there with her when she had hers done) I am glad I got to see these two with Phoebe.  I couldn’t be any more happy that we picked Grove City Family Dentistry as our Dentist.  Now the silly part…. that face she felt nothing had no pain but she swelled up a bit and sounded so silly it kept us in stitches.

A week after her appointment Phoebe received a card from Ms Amy, she was so excited not only to get mail LOL but just the fact that Ms Amy said the nicest things and made her feel so special ~

Thank you Dr Mitchell, Heather and Amy!  We drive by the office every day on our way home after work and know that she is waving to you and screaming Hello to each of you by name (-:

http://www.gcfamdent.com/meet-the-team   Yea Heather and Amy G!!

Follow them on Facebook just wait for Halloween to see them compete against each other for best costume!   That’s right I pay attention LOL

Two Peas and The Summer Moon Festival

On July 19th and 20th the Armstrong Air & Space museum in the small town of Wapakoneta, Ohio  put on the Summer Moon Festival celebrating the 45th anniversary of the first lunar landing.

Chad the girls and I met up with my friend Erin and her daughter and made the trip.   It took us about and hour and a half to get there so we made sure to stop to eat lunch before we went over.  There were plenty of places to eat and you could see the Astro Theater from the road! We couldn’t miss it !

We went in and the kids were immediately drawn to Orbit Table it shows you how the moon and artificial satellites maintain orbit around the earth.   The girls thought it was like an air hockey table (-:   WP_20140720_009

Dad of two peas made a friend….

Two Peas plus one ….who is tall enough to go to space???

The girls had a fun scavenger hunt to do for the Festival, they loved reading about everything to searching for the answers.  Erin and Dylan the most!  The could do a scavenger hunt every where they go….Challenge accepted!

Future astronaut in there??

The Gemini capsule Neil Armstrong’s first ship~

Mr. Armstrong’s Gemini Space Suit….why is this Museum named after Neil Armstrong and have all his memorabilia?? Because Wapakoneta is the birthplace of the first man to step foot on the moon.   ” The museum opened on July 20, 1972, just the third anniversary of the lunar landing. The museum itself is designed to resemble a futuristic moon base. It is most beautiful when viewed at dusk and night.”  – Museum Brochure

You have to check everything out…but sorry Py you can’t go through that door….

Photo ops a plenty!

Hey what’s in there????

Mr. Armstrong’s Apollo 11 suit!

Hey are you allowed to touch that??

Something in there must have been shocking!

The walk way to the Astro Theater was beautiful, Phoebe called the theater the moon room AHHHHMAZING !

The photographs alone are enough to get you to the museum but learning about them even better.

Captains !

The shop was packed full of the coolest things, of course we bought books, stickers and postcards

WP_20140720_041 Walking out to the rest of the festival was the wall of all Ohio born Astronauts.  That was awesome who knew how many of them were from here! WP_20140720_042

Outside the Ohio Connection had quite the set up of fun for the kids (and adults!)

The littlest pea stuck to the inflatables since she was just shy of age to do that moon walk the older girls did.

WP_20140720_050   WP_20140720_049

The moon walk!

WP_20140720_064   Over the hill from all the inflatables, the jump thing and the rocket launch were the tents with animals, NASA, jugglers, book readings from Ohio authors and crafts. WP_20140720_069

Look at all those tents, just full of fun!

NASA was here they showed Py how far you can jump in space!  Gave us stickers and some sweet pictures of the Ohio Astronauts and shuttles too!

NASA printed out pictures of the girls in space!

We saw and pet animals that have been sent into space….not these guys but the breeds (-:

Made Twirly Birds …

Played Twirly birds!

A book reading by the author Meaghan Fisher.

She signed a book for the Phoebes.

We met Author David Crawford, and had his book Delta G signed for Uncle Fred, he loves Sci Fi!  Mr. Crawford spoke to us for awhile about his book I can’t wait to read it.   You can find it on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

We had a great time and can not wait to go ahead, be sure to check their website for the movie they will be playing when you go or for any special events coming up like this festival!

For My Scout friends, this place is awesome for learning and earning patches. They have a wall of patches in the shop that you could use as fun patches (Girl Scouts) the Scouts could even pick their own patch if they wanted to.   Not to mention tons of things to do in town here is the brochure for the museum, it has some neat things to go and see: http://www.armstrongmuseum.org/sites/default/files/aasm_bro_2.18.11_WEB.pdf

I hope you get a chance to see this year old treasure you are guaranteed to learn something!

Two Peas and Pigeon Roost Farms

Every year we take the peas to pick their pumpkins at Circle S Farms and it was wonderful and fun! This year we chose to go out and see what other adventures we could get into.  We wanted something bigger for our growing peas and boy did we find our new spot!  Pigeon Roost Farms in Hebron Ohio, yes it was a bit of a drive but not too bad and after posting we went there on Facebook I saw a ton of friends follow and they had a blast too!

The day we planned to go was an awful rainy day but we figured it may stop by the time we got there so lets go!  The girls wore their costumes (something Circle S doesn’t allow for some reason) because it was kids day and they encouraged it the girls LOVED that and so did I finally getting to wear costumes more than once is great.

Once we got there I was in awe I love crafty things and they had several barns just packed with things to enjoy and buy if you wanted too.  But that had to wait….the peas and Dad of Two Peas were there for one thing….The Great Pumpkin Fun Center!

So big they had a map!  What to do first??

Well to get down to where we needed to be …

Py and Phoebe decided to go the fun route…

Did I mention it was rainy?

Once they slid on down they ran to see the farm animals goats, chickens and rabbits OH MY!

More chickens …Phoebe wanted to get IN the coop for a closer look when that didn’t happen she ran off to the enchanted  forest !

Now this was going to be interesting what enchantments did this forest hold??

Just all thing fun! With a little warning we are in the forest after all BIGFOOT !

Py spotted the first thing and took off running ….”NO RUNNING”!  But you can rope walk (-: Phoebe chickened out no farm pun intended  (:

Phoebe then took off….”NO RUNNING”!  But how could she not look at this thing!

The rain had pretty much just stayed an annoying mist and the trees kept up pretty dry in there not to mention they had so much to do.

We even had photo ops EVERYWHERE so this was one camera happy Mom

MORE for Mommy!

Look who we found !

After walking around and finding more and more we decided to leave the forest and see what else there was it was a fun center after all.  Spook Straw Tunnel anyone??

Just Pyper (-:

Phoebe found the corn pit

then Dad found something and it was all over from there!

These were so much fun I had to bribe them to let other kids play!

It took awhile …..

They had these…

Little pea would not give up until she got on one!

It didn’t last long LOL!

We decided to take our hayride next….BUT not before this!

Spin your partner round and round! Do Si Do !

HEHE  Not sure if I am prepared if this one is driving the hayride!

Hayride ready! So was the rain….

On the hayride we were able to see all the pumpkins, and the whole farm land and heard the history of the farm (they raise honey bees and make their own pumpkin honey!) it was wonderful even on a rainy day.  Hey Py let me get your picture…what is it Mom?   Oh you’ll see!IMAG0062

“MOMMY!”  We cried we laughed so hard I am very grateful to have kids with a sense of humor!

It was raining harder and I just wanted to get to the craft barns….but there was no stopping this Pea crew!

Could not walk past something without trying it!

At least they were dry in there!

We even learned some things too!  (not just on the hayride)

We had to skip the ginormous Corn Maze this year just too long and the rain was getting cold, but this year HECK YEAH we are doing it!  Who knows what it will look like in 2014, 2013 was the Aliens Among Us…SO COOL!

Now can we please get to the barns!

I love this stuff, they had barns filled all over the place!

Phoebe was “caught” by one of the nicest employees for wearing her costume and got a ticket for a free pumpkin!

Of course sissy had to run over too (:

But not before we hit more barns!  We looked for bats but saw none….

AAAAAAAAAAAAA! Oh it’s just you Peas…shoooo!

We saw some of the honey bees pretty cool!

And the honey ***big cheesy grin***

We saw so much I couldn’t even begin to describe it all so off to pick our pumpkins…”Grab a wagon Daddy!”

IMAG0108Photo Op

there is always that one guy!

Coolest pumpkin tree ever!

We had such a great time we can not wait to go again when the weather is perfect!

Until then we will flute our way home !

Thank you to Pigeon Roost for making fall so fun even on a rainy grey day! We recommend this place to everyone, not just for kids it has something for every body my pictures do them no justice imagine on a sunday fall day go visit their Facebook page and see!  I have tons more but the post would go on forever so be sure to check them out visit their website  http://www.pigeonroostfarm.com/ and check out a calendar of events.  Hope to see you there!   We will be the ones bribing our children to let someone else have a turn at the Gerbil Wheel (-:

Two Peas, Friends and Enchanted Apples

I miss summer it has been one heck of a winter in Ohio….not that I am complaining but it made me want to blog about summer! So here it is (-:

For the last two years my friend Jennifer has invited us to apple pick with her family at Fruit-Full Acres in Marysville, OH.  The girls and I love it here the owners Beckie and Thomas Congrove are always so helpful and so kid friendly.

Their trees are pruned as such that little hands can pick the apples easily, this is why Jen always goes here not to mention the apples are the best!

They encourage you to try the apples just make sure you dispose of them properly  in buckets they have at the end of every row of trees to keep down the bees!

These two may have filled a bucket themselves EEK

While our littlest pickers enjoyed that part WAY too much our oldest girls were helping the Moms find just the right ones to make all things apple when we got home!

Pyper had plans BIG apple plans she loves to cook and bake so this was pretty cool for her to get her own ingredients.

What a lucky boy with all those girls around LOL!  SO off we went home first up would be apple pie filling YUM!

We took buckets in the car and transferred our bushel bags into them so they wouldn’t bounce all over the car. Easier to clean too!

We cut the apples, and filled the jars

then started the process  I looked at over 30 recipes all different so I decided to take from each and do my own…..

I used approx 8-9 pounds of apples we mixed Jonathan and MacIntosh about 40 medium sized (some were eaten as they were cut gotta love those little peas)
I did not boil them half the recipes showed to boil half didn’t I like simple so I DID NOT boil the apples.

I ended up with 7 Quart jars full

For the syrup (or whatever they call it LOL) this is where I got creative…

9½ cups water; 4½ cups sugar; 1 cup cornstarch (most call for Clear Jel I admit they were out at the store so I had to do the starch I hear Clear Jel is a lot better!);  1 teaspoon salt; 1 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon;  ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg;  3 tablespoons lemon juice and here is what NO one had and I understand its because we added most on the spices individually but I added MORE ….

I love it it’s right next to the pumpkin pie spice and I had to try it….later I looked on Pinterest and saw where you can make your own and I will this year!

Put all the filling ingredients together in a large pot and simmer until thick

Once it has thickened you pour the mixture into the jars to the top if you have a funnel that will make it easier and less messy then place the lids on….make sure the sides are clear of any of the mixture or they may not seal correctly.

Once the jars are filled start the canning process (that guy in the back was looking up the apple butter recipe!)

Since I do not have a canner, I simply get the largest pot I own and fill with water making sure at least two inches of the jars are immersed.  Bring to boil for at least 20-30 minutes you may or may not hear the tops pop.  Once the time is over wipe the jars clean they will be hot! place on a towel overnight you may hear the popping once they start to cool down.  Leave over night to cool down properly and if they “popped” you can store up to a year in a cool dry spot.

Next we made Apple Butter and Apple Sauce (more on that in the next post)  ….. this years apple recipes turned out amazing! I was so happy with the result we are currently down to 4 apple pie fillings from this first batch we ended up making about 14 jars, gave some away and ate some too!

Welcome to Gnomeywood, USA

It all started with Phoebe’s little rock collection that grew to not so little!  She never played with her sand box so we got rid of the sand so it wouldn’t get gross and moldy and used that for her collection.  Well it wasnt too long until that thing got full, she even had Pyper helping her collect and they just got bigger and bigger!

After watching her play with rocks in our back yard a dozen times we decided to get creative, so I let the girls paint them.

IMAG5459We even had the pea’s friends painting rocks!

IMAG5800 - CopyThat’s when I started to paint them too….the whole thing just spiraled out of control!

IMAG5469These we lined our flower garden with…but she couldn’t play with them!  SO….

IMAG5595we made a house….

IMAG5986With as pool (-: !

IMAG5596the sun…

IMAG5785Pyper wanted a Peace house ….

Phoebe wanted a garden that looked just like her real one too!  and it did not stop there…

We did a Packer house because next year she wants to be a packer cheerleader like Pyper! …

Gnome Depot anyone??? and you can’t have a Gnome Depot without….

A gnome associate! and he needed friends to party with so….

Teddy Bear Snacks by Two Peas

The oldest pea became a Brownie Girl Scout this year and when she was picked to bring the snack for one of the meetings she wanted to make it herself no store bought treats from her no way! So she grabbed her Silly Snacks Cookbook and found a recipe for the Teddy Bear Snack Mix and from there she made her own rendition.

First she added Golden Grahams –

The Teddy Grahams not one but two kinds of Teddy Grahams –

We needed two bowls because we have a lot of girls in out Troop (-:

Then chocolate chips –

LOTS of chocolate chips!

And pretzels the recipe called for potato sticks but we looked everywhere and couldn’t find them so we switched it up.

Then mix it all up!   (with CLEAN hands of course!)

Your hands may get a little messy

Doesn’t it look good?

She was so proud and did it all herself she even put it in the little individual containers for the girls.  Now shouldn’t there be a badge for that??

Now comes the youngest pea she wanted to make her own treats for Valentine’s Day so what better than the Teddy Bear Snack Mix?? and yes she did it ALL by herself.

A while ago Dad of 2 Peas bought a huge container of cheeseballs I kept the container for scraps of ribbon but hadn’t used it yet.  I pulled it out for Phoebe to make her mix it was perfect for her!

So again we used Golden Grahams ……

Teddy Grahams…….

She wanted to add marshmallows! …….

Lots of marshmallows!!!

We found the potato sticks ……

We used tiny cjocolate chips for tiny hands …….
