I never liked the oldest pea on the trampoline it scared the bugeezers out of me.  I thought for sure she would jump off and break a bone and even at three years old she would laugh at me for thinking that.  But she is little and has no control ….so I thought.  This picture was taken October 2008 she was four and a half  ahd plenty of control and so very happy that Mommy wasn’t invading her space!

This weeks iheart faces contest is hand on fun.

Last September we adopted our kitten Professor Puffington, it had been a long time coming we wanted to find a kitten in July for the oldest peas 5th birthday.  Dad of 2 peas had gotten a kitten on his 5th birthday and really wanted to make it happen for Pyper too! 

We also felt since we lost two family cats last year that our cat Petey Peteman was lonely.  He was acting sort of depressed if you could imagine.  So for months we looked until we found Puff. 

On the day we brought him home you would have thought he had lived here for years and that these peas had been around forever.  He had no fear (and he still doesn’t)  He was 6 weeks old and never ran from either peas he let Py hold him and Phoebe believe it or not was pretty gentle with the new little guy.

Here we caught our littlest pea  being as gentle as she could be…..so our hand on fun is hands on Professor Puffington fun!

Phoebe was ecstatic I never heard her giggle so hard in her little life.  I should have grabbed the video camera! But instead I grabbed the trust Mamaratzzi Cam.

One word this little pea can say very clearly is balloon so she just kept saying it over and over throwing the balloon up in the air!  Her head kept going up too it was too cute…….

Static!

She just bounced her way through the house ……

All it took for my baby girl was a little balloon she played with this all night.  As much as she giggled we all giggled with her.  She slept well this night she wore her little legs out!

Sadly the balloon only last three days, but if it lasted too long the next balloon wouldn’t be as special!

I took her to Cookie Cutters here is town, they are awesome the kids can sit in fun chairs play video games or watch movies while they get their hair cut.  Pyper surprised me again when she asked to get her hair washed first.  Last few times she got a trim she wouldn’t let them just got sprayed down.   Well for being brave and getting it all washed she got quite the surprise when the water was cold! 

When she got it brushed out there was no surprise when the stylist found pink fuzz fused in the curls.  (see previous post on the pink shag rug).

As she chewed her gum and watched High School Musical 3,  the madness began!

Pyper kept watching in the mirror then back to the movie then back to the mirror, I thought she may freak out once she saw all the hair on the floor but she didn’t she was loving this!

More cutting…..

Then she looked;  was she gonna crack???

No she sure didn’t!!!! 

She did look a little concerned when the layers were being cut in…..

I saw a little face but nothing like panick so we were good (-:     Then the smile!  She was done just needed to dry a little…She loved it!  I loved it!

Her hair looked amazing!  I am so glad she decided she was ready and that it was her decision and not us telling her.  There is just something about a girl’s hair that no matter what age is part of their personality and they want to be in charge.   On this day I was pretty ok with that and yes it sure will bring out that personality~!

She was so happy! She ran around on the indoor play gym while I paid and she ran over to the stylist again to say thank you and give her, her tip.  She was so excited to get home and show her Daddy and sister!

When we got home SHE wanted me to take more pictures am I dreaming???? Of course I will take more pictures!!!

Now for the fun!!!

When she woke up this morning she was still as happy as ever and kept asking Phoebe if she liked her hair.  I’m very proud of my big girl just another step in her life.  The beginning of many decisions to come!

One night after  scrapping at the kitchen table I was cleaning up and saw my husbands Coors Light box I wanted to make it easier carrying everything back to the loft so I grabbed it.  Well low and behold my 12 X 12 paper was a perfect fit.  So the idea popped into my head to decoupage the box and make the paper holder.  The cardboard was super thick and heavy so surely it could hold about 20 pounds of paper.

It was so easy and so much fun to get organized that I thought I would share.  I hope its helps one of you get organized too!

I heart faces contest this week is kisses and I knew it had to be one of Py kissing 

Phoebe when we first came home with her. 

She was so happy and proud to be the big sister that she could stop asking

to hold her and kiss her.  Phoebe is now 16 months old and she is still all over her. 

I hope that this mutual love fest never ends between these two sisters.

 Pyper, our oldest pea, wanted to give her teachers something special this year for Valentine’s Day.  I had the perfect project….I had bought some mugs from Oriental Trading Company to make mugs for her teachers at Christmas unfortunately I ran out of time.   So Valentine’s mug it was!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            After Pyper told me what she wanted on the mugs her handing her teachers flowers it was pretty easy.  It always starts with the cricut expressions we used the Everyday Paper Dolls, the other Paper Dolls  and the Walk in My Garden cartridges.    

Pyper had a great time telling me what she wanted to wear and what her teachers usually wear, I got online for the school symbol to put on the teachers’ sweatshirts.  She has two teachers so we made two mugs.    She helped a lot with getting the paper dolls ready and was so sweet thinking about her teachers. 

Once we had all of our pieces cut out I was able to start putting them together by this time Py was in bed this was taking longer than I thought it would!

Then I was able to put the paper in the mugs and wallah! Pyper’s Valentines Mugs…I couldn’t wait to show her in the morning.

We made it all pretty in the bags and she is good to go!

As I have blogged about in the past this little mister is all about Phoebe and Pyper, so when the girls were opening their gifts from Mommy and Daddy Puff was right in the middle!  He seemed slightly jealous even!  But the next morning

Getting in on the gift opening action....

Santa visit’s our house a day early since we travel all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  He doesn’t want us to have to carry all his gift back home.   Once the peas were awake we all opened our stockings and the peas their presents from Santa Paws.  

The peas were so excited to get their stockings just like me they think it’s the BEST part!  But even the furry peas got stockings too!

The littlest pea was more interested in Puff’s stocking stuffers than her own!  

After opening all the gifts the littlest pea walked around with the furry peas fishing pole for hours, she also loved their mice…..so good luck furry peas you might want to start playing with dolls!

We certainly loved our first Christmas with Professor Puffington, we have been so blessed that he gets along with the peas so well. He goes right to the girls and never complains when they hold him a little too long or a little to rough. I can’t wait for the next issue of The  Chronicles of Professor Puffington hope you can’t either!

This was June 2007, and we had just moved into our house a few months earlier so we were finally able to have some family spend the night.  Chad’s parents were down this particular weekend so we planned on taking them to the zoo.  Columbus Zoo is amazing and we had such a good time I will never forget Pyper’s expressions now that she was old enough to pay attention to the animals and of course they have a huge playground!  Here she is looking down on the train that goes through the zoo too afraid to ride the train she was happy to look at it though!

AND  now that we live in Columbus I think I should add that the Columbus Zoo was named the #1 Zoo in America by USA Travel Guide!
