iHeartFaces……All Heart!

This weeks photo challenge was to incorporate hearts.  I remembered when the oldest pea was just  7 months old (2004) we did a photo shoot with her 2-year-old cousin.  (and to think the littlest pea is 2 now and the oldeswt is almost 7 now!) I remember how fun it was; her cousin just loved on her and the smiles were endless that day.  I made Valentine’s cards for all the Grandparents, Uncles and Aunts with this picture here.  Her hair was so red even at that age and those blue eyes just beautiful!

Be sure to check out the other pics over at iHeartFaces.com

Happy Valentine’s Day from Mom of  2 Peas

Mom of 2 Peas – Etsy Store

How excited am I that I finally got it up and running, I started the store back in June and just today got my items up.  My inspiration is my friend Sabrina she got hers started and I knew I had to get mine going too.

I would love to have my own store, not just on the internet but here in Grove City where I can have scrapbook/craft classes and parties.  Maybe one day, huh?    Until then visit my shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/Momof2Peas  ~ thank you and let me know what you think or if you have seen something on my blog that you think I should put out there too!   I am all for suggestions and tips (-;

and my friend Sabrina’s shop Fiona’s Garden, she is amazingly creative and has such a cute little model too!   http://www.etsy.com/shop/FionasGarden

“You Smile I Smile”

“Dad, Daddy, Dad, Dod (yes Phoebe sometimes pulls off a quasi english accent) DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD”

Sometimes the word Dad in that succession can be lets just say tiring….”what now girls?”  ”who had it first?”  ”Phoebe stop yelling at Pyper” … “Pyper stop yelling at Phoebe” ….”Yes you do have to take a shower and brush your teeth”….like I said tiring.

Yet even if he has a bad day at some point in the evening  “Dad, Daddy, Dad, Dod, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD”  is always followed by a tickle tackle and tons of laughter.  I love watching them but ultimately have to stop the laughfest as it is always someones bedtime.  “Awe MOM”  but rest assured there will be another tickle tackle tomorrow there always is.

I caught this shot of  the Dad of 2 Peas at the girls cookie party.  He was watching them cut out their cookies (if you follow my blog you will see those pictures in that post).  What I see here is pure joy in watching his little girls have a blast making a mess…I mean cookies.  I love the fuzzy santa in the window behind him and I just love his smile.   Of all the pictures I try to take of this man this is one of the best why? because he is usually making a silly face just to get me to stop clicking away….Be sure to check out all the other post over at iheartfaces.com! and if I am one of the lucky ones to win pretty sure this guy won’t  let me forget it was a pic of him that got me there LOL!

The Never Ending Battle Of Hair ….. the PEAQUAL !

So as most of you know who either know us or grace my blog with your readership you know the battle of hair began with the oldest Pea.  Well the littlest Pea  is always trying to keep up with her sister and that includes her  tremulous locks!  And so begins the never ending battle of hair…..again.

We never had to worry about Py’s hair at this age because believe it or not her hair was straight! It didn’t really curl until she was three.  Phoebe’s hair is half curly half knots!  Now she loves it when her Aunt Dawn or her sitters brush her hair she even asked then too!   BUT She seriously can’t stand Mommy or Daddy trying to brush it out and she will run and hide in her castle to get away…..

That stinker she even tries to go incognito but we still try to get those knots out!

When we eat any meal Daddy can usually get a head band in because if he doesn’t it’s hair soup, spaghetti or hair pizza none of which is appetizing at all because she will freak out and scream hair if she sees it.

Every once in a while if I sneak up from behind……I may get a tiny pony tail to keep the hair out of her little eyes.   So she can see!

But I guess just like her sister when all else fails even in the dead of summer WEAR A HAT~!

I Heart Faces: Photojournalism Photo Challenge

This weeks challenge for IHeartFaces.com is photojournalism….their defenition for this challenge is “Using an image (or images) to tell a story”.

I chose one image to tell this story:

The story of the elusive red-haired  MeerPYsle, as sly as the weasel, feisty as the Meerkat with the ting of a fiery temper like that of  the mink.   Little if anything can get this beautiful creature to come out of her hole but we were lucky enough to catch that moment.  A moment like none other, do you see the curly red mane? the blue eyes? the fashion forward shades…wait what?  since when does the MeerPy wear sunglasses?  Oh yes paparazzi must be prepared for the flash bulbs of all those on the hunt for the perfect picture of the perfect creature with the perfect curls.  How did we manage to get this rare shot?  Well we can’t give away our secrets but we will give you one hint…Beiber.

We are very happy to share this rare find with all of you and would suggest that you check out all the other stories at IHeartFaces.com!

IHeartFaces Beach Fun!

This weeks challenge was Beach Fun!

I alwas go back to 2005 when I see any beach theme not only is that the last time we were there but it was Py’s first time at the ocean.    I took lots of pictures, the only thing was she actually hated the water when she felt it, fell in the sand and freaked out then wanted nothing to do with outside the house the family and we had rented.  So I look at these shots and laugh it was Py’s only 2 minutes at the beach that she had fun!

Don’t forget to check out all the other awesome shots over at IHeartFaces.com !!!
