Spring FEVER ! ! !

“Mommy Daddy, can we go outside?”     ”No honey it’s raining”     “I never get to go outsiiiiiiide”

So when the nicer days came around Py and Phoebe  finally got to ride their bikes and take walks around the block but not the back yard it was still too muddy….until

It seemed like the sky opened up and all the Peas joy came falling down …. in the back yard ~ this is the face I got when I told her she could play in the back yard she was kind of tired of the front already how could that be???

Yea!  The girls got these ribbons from Santa and waited all winter to break them out they jumped, ran and spun all over……….

Oh the Phoebes she kept getting just enough wind to wave her ribbon high above I never heard her giggle so much!

Dropped the ribbon remember we have a play gym! wait wait…..

What is Pyper doing??   looks like more fun so she will just grab the ribbon one more time…..

HMMM she wasn’t up for jumping so to the play gym it is!

More jumping?

Mom seriously I’m not jumping~

I will climb though or attempt to!

She’s gonna do it to!  I was too afraid she might fall so I put the camera down but trust this mommy she made it!

Then the swings these girls LOVE the swings I got tons of cute pictures but this one was hysterical!  Mid-flight funky faces!

OOOH my husband Dad of 2 Peas bought my soil today too, Pyper is very excited she went with him to Lowes and next week she will go with my for seeds…just a sneak peek of blogs to come (-:

And back to the ribbons because now they make shadows!

Then a little visit from Daddy and Professor Puffington to show off the ribbon dances!

See Daddy!

Pyper clearly happy to do more jumping….Phoebe not impressed lol!

So back to the swing!  Because she LOVES it!!!

But this one the ribbon was he best toy of the day, trying to get Phoebe to keep playing with hers…

And it worked again with the “I want down Mommy” so she could play ribbons….

So as we were gathering ourselves to go in for bath time Py made one last wave of the ribbon…..until tomorrow!

Spring has finally arrived and this year Phoebe is ready to try to keep up with the big kids.  Both girls got new bikes from PapPap for Christmas, new sidewalk chalk and the ribbons we are prepared (-: Since these pictures were taken Py and Phoebe have gone on numberous bike rides with Daddy and walks with us.  Not to mention there is always a neighbor friend to play with!

So get outside and enjoy Spring won’t be long until it’s Summer!

Proudest Moment as a Mom

Yesterdays Social Mom Prompt was just this what has been your proudest moment as a mom so far…..well that was a hard one the Peas make me so proud all the time with all kinds of things.  But for this post I want to talk about how proud I was when Py became a big sister.

Pyper was so excited to be a big sister, we had lost a child at 12 weeks a year before so when we got pregnant again we weren’t sure we should tell her yet.  It was awfully hard telling her when we miscarried she was only 3 and didn’t quite understand.  She had been talking about it for weeks and even chose the name Meat YES Meat for the baby.  So we tried again we waited until after the 12 week check up to tell her.  She was so happy but asked a lot if the baby was “still in there”.   We made sure that she knew she was just as loved as always and that a new person was going to love her just as much.  We made sure that she was at the hospital and we even got her a Big Sister care package to take with her.  A new Princess bag with new books about siblings and that one book everyone has “I Love You This Much”!   She was most excited about the sash (-:

I love this picture she got to see the baby wheeled in to get her first bath and my Grandma got the BEST picture of her watching through the window. (PS I did not pick those shoes LOL)

My in-laws were sweet enough to stay with Pyper while we were in the hospital Dad of  NOW 2 Peas never left the hospital just like when she was born.  The next day they brought her in to really meet her new little sister Phoebe.  She dressed up for the occasion and worn a necklace and everything.  She was so darn cute I just cried! she looked too grown for a 4-year-old.  Then Chad placed Phoebe in her arms you would have thought fireworks went off the look in her face; she was so happy and I was so proud.

*Beaming* (and look at that curl fyi this is my screen saver at work I have yet to change it!)

The sister love fest never stopped when we got home either, where ever that little pea was there was Pyper.

Yes she really did fall asleep this way (- ;

Now look at them!  Dance Parties every night in the playroom!  Phoebe is now 2 and a half and Pyper as she will tell you is 6 and a half!   Now they can play and argue and just be sisters.  No more baby lying around for her to hold but she still hugs her a lot and kissed her head even if she doesn’t want her too LOL!

And she teachers her fashion….winter hats in the dead of last summer(surely to hide all that crazy hair) !  Who doesn’t think that’s sharp (-:

Not to mention keeping her and US laughing!

Now Phoebe wants to do everything Pyper does, repeats everything and sometimes sounds just like her being snarky! AH sister love you gotta love this age.

iHeartFaces……All Heart!

This weeks photo challenge was to incorporate hearts.  I remembered when the oldest pea was just  7 months old (2004) we did a photo shoot with her 2-year-old cousin.  (and to think the littlest pea is 2 now and the oldeswt is almost 7 now!) I remember how fun it was; her cousin just loved on her and the smiles were endless that day.  I made Valentine’s cards for all the Grandparents, Uncles and Aunts with this picture here.  Her hair was so red even at that age and those blue eyes just beautiful!

Be sure to check out the other pics over at iHeartFaces.com

“You Smile I Smile”

“Dad, Daddy, Dad, Dod (yes Phoebe sometimes pulls off a quasi english accent) DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD”

Sometimes the word Dad in that succession can be lets just say tiring….”what now girls?”  ”who had it first?”  ”Phoebe stop yelling at Pyper” … “Pyper stop yelling at Phoebe” ….”Yes you do have to take a shower and brush your teeth”….like I said tiring.

Yet even if he has a bad day at some point in the evening  “Dad, Daddy, Dad, Dod, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD”  is always followed by a tickle tackle and tons of laughter.  I love watching them but ultimately have to stop the laughfest as it is always someones bedtime.  “Awe MOM”  but rest assured there will be another tickle tackle tomorrow there always is.

I caught this shot of  the Dad of 2 Peas at the girls cookie party.  He was watching them cut out their cookies (if you follow my blog you will see those pictures in that post).  What I see here is pure joy in watching his little girls have a blast making a mess…I mean cookies.  I love the fuzzy santa in the window behind him and I just love his smile.   Of all the pictures I try to take of this man this is one of the best why? because he is usually making a silly face just to get me to stop clicking away….Be sure to check out all the other post over at iheartfaces.com! and if I am one of the lucky ones to win pretty sure this guy won’t  let me forget it was a pic of him that got me there LOL!
