The Littlest Pea’s Not So Little Anymore…..

April 2011, while on an over night visit with Grandpa my little Phoebe grew into a toddler.  No longer willing to sleep in a pack and play she crawled out while napping and met me at the top of the steps.  An immediate phone call to Dad of 2 Peas was made to inform him of his little escape artist and the fact that she will need to sleep in a big girl bed soon.   When we got home I refused to run to the store for a bed rail she is still a baby and needs her crib surely she can’t jump out  of that!   WRONG that same day I caught her half way over the crib so we went to Target and got the bleeping bed rail.  My baby was no longer a baby and she was so excited to finally sleep in the big bed.  Pyper helped Chad put the rail together and we waited while he put it on the bed.

That night I thought I would have to lay with her get her used to it, constantly run back up and lay her down…….

again….WRONG so I did what any Mom would do and just started to take pictures.

She wasn’t to into that either, she just wanted to sleep in her big girl bed…….

After Bibble was covered up, her Dora Pillow under her head and her binky right there in her mouth she was ready to go night night…..

No more pictures!

Before she could go to sleep, Professor Puffington took a look around and was slightly confused, where is Phoebe??  Just bed pillows in the crib now.   Soon the crib will be taken down and will be a head and foot board for Phoebe’s big girl bed.   That will be the end of  cribs in this house and I am a little sad about that.  Both my girls are growing more and more independent, yes I know she is only 2 and a half but it’s the little things that I already miss.  She doesn’t want me to help her into bed, she doesn’t want to hold my hand coming down the stairs, she gets her cereal in the morning and brings it to me.  I could go on and on.  This is just another step in Phoebe’s growing up guess Mommy needs to too!

As for how she is sleeping, it’s like she has always been in the big girl bed.  She falls asleep great and doesn’t get out until we wake her up. she has had her moments but if I find the bink and return it to her she lays right back down and falls asleep.  We are pretty lucky that both our kids are good at going to sleep. Unless she is snot feeling well then she is up every hour…..but that’s a post for another day (-;

Sweet Dreams my little Pea

Pyper’s first field trip……THE ZOO……in the SNOW!

Pyper’s first field trip how could we not go !   For weeks Pyper was excited Mom and Dad were going to chaperone and the letter we got sent to us said we would be in charge of 7 children.  I was excited too (-:  Dad of 2 Peas and I got to the school that morning for a quick review of what we were doing only to find out we weren’t the only ones excited………

there were so many parents we only got 3 children!  and that was because one of the grandparents didn’t show.

As soon as we got in the gate our girls took off! Yes this was what we would see the whole days running in joy from exhibit to exhibit!

The girls had their agenda they wanted to get to the Polar Bears and fast!   But we made frequent stops along the way..the the goats because they could pet them and brush them…….

and Pyper!

Then we went on a Moose hunt well you know what I mean….they had the signs and all the antlers up but no Moose! But…..

it was super close to the Polar Bears!  They were so excited and our one little friends Gram showed up!

Seeing them from the top of the exhibit was cool but seeing them from the bottom EVEN COOLER!

After hanging out with the Polars for awhile Dad of 2 Peas and the littles were trying to map out where to go next…..it was then it started snowing and they got hungry so we stopped to eat and ran into lots of other school friends.

She sat with her buddies and teacher so we decided we would go with them too (the teacher had the more active kids so we thought we could help)…….

Now we had 6 children and a teacher let the fun begin! Now as everyone knows I love to take pictures and I thought these friends will never slow down enough to get any BOY was I wrong! They wanted pictures constinately….kidws after my own heart letting the mamaratzzi do as she pleased (-:

We then made our way to Africa there we saw Elephants, a Rhino and some monkeys!

Do you see the baby? It was so hard to tell by that tail belongs to the baby!

Had to bang the drum!

They saw Tigers they were amazing ev en this wooden one kept their attention!  I told them to growl the little one on the end was so cute!

now they got it!!!! how me your inner tiger!

The Lions were ready to pounce ! its hard to see but a teeny bunny rabbit was taunting them they were going nuts it I hope you can see the lion on the left and the bunny close to the tree.

Next was the aquarium I admit I wish there was more or more tanks but this was a pretty cool picture of the group!

I love this picture!

The kids were tired of being indoors they wanted to scream and run so we ran to the penguins ….well the bottom half of a hiding penguin anyway.   He was too cold to some out in the snow imagine that!

I have no idea what everyone was looking at but they sure were mesmerized!

Looking for monkeys …..here monkey monkey monkey …..here monkey!

The Reptile House ~ we met lots of other school kids in here too probably because it was nice and warm!

This Ball Python…..didn’t phase Pyper a bit….

This lizard…..

Scared the pants off her! (she saw his tongue and freaked out!)

We had time for one last picture with the Kimodo Dragon and one last exhibit before the kids had to get back to the bus….

Our rambunctious group chose the African Gorillas they did not read the sign LOL

Everyone was at the same window…..what in the world were they all looking at??

A BABY!!!!!! What a wonderful sight a baby and her mama sorry the pictures are a little out of focus he was a busy little thing (-:

OK OK one last picture with the Gorilla statue (-: then off to meet the rest of the class……

While we waited it was still snowing a steady light snow as it had all day, so light the camera never really picked it up…..

Until now! just in time to get back to the school!

Chad and I had a great time with all those peanuts well lets just call them  Peas (-:

If you have never been to the Columbus Zoo you should visit this summer they have lots to do in the summer go to the website at www.colszoo.org/

Photo Books

When you walk into my office downtown it has a wall of art…..preschool and kindergarten art.  I often get asked the question what do you do with all that art work this can’t be it!    It’s not trust me I have tons and that’s just one daughter’s work.  So a few years ago I started taking pictures of the art work before we tossed it away. (Dad of Two Peas swears this was his idea….so we will give him the credit)

Not only did it make me feel better but it made Pyper feels better too; we weren’t just tossing aside her hard work, we were keeping it forever on the computer!  I do have to admit if anything was painted with her little hand prints then I did keep those.  I mean come on!  I have to keep some right?

I then realized after taking all these pictures what a great idea to make them into a book, you can do it anywhere anymore I did ours through winkflash.com I love that site.  After we made the art books we gave them to the grandparents for Christmas a couple of years ago.  My Gram LOVED it, her hairdresser told us at the funeral that Gram was so proud of all us she took down pictures to show off every week.  One week she took the art book and just gloated!

Here is part of the one we made …enjoy the art (-:

I started off with a super cute picture of my princess…..

Pyper picked out all the pictures for her grandparent’s book herself.

We ended the book with an I love you to her grands (-:

She was so excited to see it come in the mail and even more excited to give it to them!

So next time you are cleaning and are up to your ears in your child’s art….photograph it and keep it forever!~

iHeartfaces Challange…..cell phone pics

****spelled Challenge wrong in the title how embarrassing!  Unfortunately I can’t change it or I won’t be link in to the contest please forgive the error (-: ****

And BOY do I have a lot of those!

So many in fact I think I will be show some in another post (-:  it’s funny how most the photo’s on my phone have the best memories of the girls.

On this particular day I was so sick, I didn’t want to get out of my robe.  My girls tried so hard to make me feel better.  At one point they decided that they too needed to get into their robes and just sit on the couch like I was.  I had my cell phone sitting there and snapped this photo.  I posted the original on my facebook account and for this contest I messed around with my phone setting and found the retro app.  How fun is it to look at them as if it were my sister Shelia and I in the 70′s!  I absolutely love this picture I hope you do too!

Don’t forget to go look at all the other ingenious cell phone pics at iheartfaces.com~!

The oldest pea’s 6th year interview…..

As I sit here tonight the day after elections the worst possible scenario for my family came true and an uncertainly future ahead of us. (update Chad lost his job as we knew he would so pray for us to get through this!)  I surfed Facebook and had nothing to say. Then the girls annual cookie party was cancelled do to busy families not being able to come just another disappointment today.    So in my pity and tears I started to clean (as I do) and found Pyper’s 6 year old interview papers, we did an interview last year (year 5) playing around and I said to myself then – I want to do this every year.    Reading it made me laugh a little, cry a little more and just realize I had to pull it together for my peas.  Everything is going to be alright I am married to wonderful man who will work his tail off to keep this family going.  SO I know you are all curious so here it is….

PYPER SINCLAIR’S  SIXTH YEAR INTERVIEW

What is your favorite color?       “Pink of course !”  of course

What’s your favorite song right now?  ”that Justin Beiber song with that other boy”  for the record it’s Sean Kingston and the song is called Eenie Meenie

How about your favorite tv shows??  “iCarly still and Big Time Rush”  which surprised me because she never really wants to watch BTR but loves iCarly and most Disney shows like Good Luck Charlie.

and your favorite movie?  “How to Train Your Dragon” which we coincidentally watched the weekend before and we did love this film we both teared up at the end!

what about a book?   “I like Chrysanthemum, Mom” Oh I never  heard of that book what’s it about? “a mouse” what about a mouse “a mouse that’s named after a flower”  Oh ok got it

What is your best subject in school??  “spelling”  ok, she is in a very high reading level and gets frustrated when we try to get her to spell too much so this was not the answer I thought I would get but maybe if it’s her best she will try better right??

OK Py, What is your favorite thing about sissy?  “she loves me” and daddy “he plays with me” and MOMMY?????  “you play games with me”  and your favorite game?? “sheep!”

What about Pete and Puff??? “they lick my toes and it tickles”  silly girl

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?? “Disney!!!!!!!”  she screamed this by the way; so cute, we went when she was 3 and a half and I think she will never forget she loved it!

Ok Py lets get to the nitty gritty of this interview…..

If you could get rid of one food forever never to see it again what food would that be??? “easy mom….onions”  I agree Py lets move on.

If you could meet someone famous who would it be?  “Demi” why?? “she is nice” she loves Demi Lovato her voice, her show and Disney movies.

What is your favorite memory?  “being born” really you remember that?? “yep” hmmmm that one is suspicious but OK

Would you rather go to the doctor or the dentist?  “I would rather go to the dentist because he cleans your teeth”   She does have a pretty cool dentist too

When you look at the clouds what do you think of ?? “Sheep”  me too!

If Daddy had a boat and let you name it what would you call it? “what do  mean mommy” if we could name it like a cat and paint the name on the side what you call it?? “Jess” why Jess “I don’t know” good enough.

And last but not least the famous ….What do you want to be when you grow up?

She opened her mouth and said the sweetest thing …..

“I want to be a doctor because of gram, because if my parents are going to die I want to fix them” that is word for word and made me pretty proud..

and with that my bad day started to look up.  It’s so fun having our yearly interview and all the time I am writing in a journal the funny things my girls say just to show them when they are older.   I hope you enjoyed getting to know this little pea a little better!

Two Peas Down on the Farm….Bob Evans Farm!

mom of 2 peas
I love Fall I love everything about it the colors, the smells, wearing sweaters but most of  all the festivals and pumpkin picking farms.  Every year we try to go to as many as I can get my family to attend.  This year was special, this year we got an invite to attend Bob Evan’s 40th Annual Fall Festival in Rio Grande Ohio.
Now, if anyone is like us we didn’t vacation this summer since we are trying to save money therefore; keeping all ourtrips close to home.   This was perfect it was only 2 hours away and after reading about the past festivals online (yeah we googled it LOL) we didn’t want to miss it.
My family had a few things we couldn’t wait to see and have to admit that is where we spent most of our day.  Our first stop the Extreme Pumpkin Carving tent!

This is where we met Michael Conner and his lovely assistant for the day his Mom which was perfect for such a family friendly place.   Dad of 2 Peas was able to get a lot of tips from this X-Treme Carver after all he has been doing this for 7 years and loves it.  My husband has been carving fun pumpkins for the peas and can’t wait to try something new.  A tip he gave me was to sprinkle the inside with cinnamon so it smells like pie when lit and to coat the outside with vaseline so it last a little longer!

The pumpkins were amazing and Pyper kept going back to look a pumpkin that was carved the day before, it was lit up in a box so you could see every perfect detail.

It was a pleasure talking to these two and if you would like to check out Michael’s website it’s here at  www.xtremecarvers.com !
Our day had just began and that’s when Py looked over and saw  FACE PAINT I mean seriously what Festival is complete without face paint (LOL) so we went on over so she could be transformed into a cat …. the http://www.frenchartcolony.org ‘s volunteers were as sweet as can be.  Pyper just wanted a grey nose and whiskers and so that’s what she got.  She was hoping it would last so she could wear it to school the next day BUT this Mom got it off with a baby wipe so sadly for her that did not happen. (giggle)

Phoebe wasn’t to interested in getting her face painted she is only two so she was just happy not to be stuck in the stroller the whole time!  The grounds were perfect we didn’t have to worry about her getting trampled or run over by random four wheelers like some other festivals we’ve been to.   I kid not when I say family friendly!

We were already in the Kid’s Farmyard Fun area so we ran over to the tractor train ride, Phoebe was just a little small so just our little kitty went on the train.

We got on this ride super early so she got the train practically to herself! When she got off the line was around the fence so she decided to come back later for another trip around the barnyard.

Just a little ways over what did they see??? the haymaze!   and that you won’t see here the pictures were fuzzy but trust me they both loved it!

We did get good shots of the Hay Castle though see the oldest pea up there waving all coy! and the Corn Pile that Phoebe loved and Py didn’t want to get out of !

Too much fun at the Corn Pile wonder how much corn that was?? or a better question how much went home in kids shoes! ?? LOL

Once we got the Peas away from this fun filled corn pile we ate lunch at the food tent and it was so good all us girls ate chicken sandwiches, fries and cole slaw and Chad had the brat, fries and baked beans …… everything was so good, so good in fact that Py stole Daddy’s beans!

We ate right behind where the Border Collie Demonstration was happening, the best party for Phoebe …… SHEEP!!! she was so impressed that there were not only dog, and ducks but there were sheep right in front of her little eyes.  This city pea is obsessed with sheep I love it!

The dogs were amazing they herd the sheep, jump over the sheep, herd the ducks and did everything Mr. Jenkins asked them to do.   Then Mr. Jenkins saw a little cat and couldn’t resist talking to her….Py got a little shy and Phoebe ran to Daddy to discuss sheep.

Pyper loved this demo I honestly didn’t think it would interest them as much as it did but they loved it I don’t think Py has paid attention for that long in forever LOL!

Dave and Jan Jenkins the owners and operators of Jenkins Border Collies near Mansfield, Ohio.  To learn more about them and their dogs go here http://www.jenkinsbordercollies.com !

After we got the girls away from yet another fun thing we ran through the Dairy tent brought to you by http://laurelvalleycreamery.com only to find more…….SHEEP!  The girls pet a calf, and ran straight to the sheep.  We unfortunately missed the sheep shearing demo but got to watch Dan’s Farrier Service give a horse some shoes.   Phoebe was in sheep and horse heaven, we really need to get this girl to the farm more often!

We then went up the hill to see the Chainsaw Carving Demo now that was cool!

Now this man is from a town right next to us, that was exciting to see his name  Ted Scherer from Galloway Ohio you can look him up here  www.ohiowoodart.com

because who wouldn’t want this gecko in your front yard?? I know I would!  Just magnificent!

When we were on the hill we saw these step dancers, the oldest pea is taking tap so we stood there  for quite a while watching it was fun to watch kids of all ages were dancing it looked like from 7 to 70!

We were getting pretty tired at this point it was such a great day!  But before we left there were just a few more things I wanted to see like Apple Butter being made!

 And sold!      So yummy!

Then the Beannie Boys they were hysterical they danced around, called people out of the crowd to try to beans and had a little competition with the kettle corn folks…..that is where I sent my husband to grab some of the best popcorn ever!

The line for the corn was pretty long not just for the tasty treat itself but the little man in the corn hat made sure he spoke to everyone and was just as pleasant as could be unless they were poked by the beanie boys! Listening  to this beans and corn mock rivalry was hysterical!  Check out the sign the Beannie Boys had hanging in their spot:

Last but certainly not least one of the town civic clubs were selling painted pumpkins and the peas wanted tiny ones……they were awesome all kinds to choose from!

Look at those !   The Sesame Street characters were Phoebe’s favorite and Py like Casper……but they really wanted the minis and Pyper showed them all to Phoebe and found the best one!

OHIO STATE!

Then of course she found the sassiest one and gave us the sassiest pose (-:

They ended up picking these and the ladies were kind enough to paint the peas name on them so cute!   Our day was filled with fun and regretfully we didn’t get to the half of what they had to offer we really should have made it a weekend trip.  Bob Evans has a campground right there where the festival is held and it would have been so fun.  There is also a few hotels down the street for those non-campers too.

We paroosed some of the craft tents but to be honest I didn’t get any pictures we were too busy talking to all of the artisans I never thought to starting clicking, SO I guess you will have to go next year to see the over 40 plus crafters and artisians that were there.  They had everything from clothes, fudge, jam, paintings, antiques and of course Bob Evans memorabilia (I got a magnet!)    We didn’t go into the old Evan’s house at all because well…..the peas sort of touch EVERYTHING so …. maybe next year but you can see it on the first pic in this post.  There was a huge line but it seemed to move pretty quickly.  It’s that great history lesson for you and your family I mean who doesn’t want to know who is responsible for that sausage gravy! or how about that banana bread?  for the time being you can visit Bob’s website www.BobEvans.com  you see all of the upcoming events too.   When we got out visitor’s guide they gave us a pamphlet of all the upcoming events, did you know they were open all year?  They have horse riding at the Rio Valley Stables located right there at the farm visit them at www.riovalleystables.com .  While you are there the Homestead Museum that we missed is right there behind the open Bob Evan’s restaurant which by the way has an ATM that you may need to know as we forgot to get cash when we left home and got there without money and this Mom of  Two Peas needed her kettle corn!

Our days flew by and it was time to go to home as we walked to car we passed one last vendor…. http://www.bobsmarket.com/   OH the colors those mums, those gourds those pumpkins!  Where did my family go??? AHHHH wait for me I got distracted!!! But who wouldn’t I got one last picture as I ran to catch up….

My family and I would like to thank Blake Mathews at Brunner (for Bob Evans) for introducing us to this event your hospitality sir was wonderful and very much appreciated!

So pack it up people and explore Ohio just be sure to start here!

It’s A Pillow It’s A Pet….

IT’S A PILLOW PET!

For months Phoebe would see this commercial and just wail with excitement yelling pillow pet for the whole 30 seconds the commercial would run.  If it was playing in the playroom and Phoebe wasn’t in that room all Py had to do was scream pillow pet and phoebe was on her way!   All spring long we heard about these pillow pets Py already told us she wanted the unicorn and the bee, Phoebe was so excited when she saw the lady bug that we guessed that would be the one for her.  So Dad of 2 Peas and I decided for their birthdays we would order the Pillow Pets.  I got online as the commercial instructed (we had looked at a few stores but no one carried them yet…they do now!).  There they were all these pillow pets, a hippo, a bee, a bear, a unicorn, a panda a frog!  I wanted to get them all for the girls they were so cute no wonder they got sucked into the commercial.    I ordered….the unicorn and the lady bug and we waited.  We knew we would give them to the girls at the same time right before Py’s birthday.

When I got home after work just a few weeks later there was the box I knew immediately it was the pillow pets!   So after dinner Chad opened the box…….

Py was right there wanting whatever it was that was in the box all of us yelling for Phoebe to come see.

Mom of 2 Peas

What’s in the box Daddy???

Pillow Pets!!!!

The looks on both of their faces were priceless here they were all they had been asking for, for months and months.

But wait Daddy is there more in there???  I will just love on this while you look…..

Yes why there was more!   Mommy ordered the matching Pillow Pet Blankets!~ And they were just as super soft as the pillows and huge !

Chad loved watching the peas all excited he had to keep helping Phoebe making it a pet….she would turn it into a pillow, run it back to him to make it a pet again…over and over and he laughed every time!

Why does it look like the oldest pea is about to swipe that lady bug???

Let Py demonstrate…..It’s a PILLOW…..

Its a PET…..Its a PILLOW PET!

So soft they would rather lay on them then wrap up with them.

Pyper of course will never let go of her dear old Blue blanket and yes we have tried…..somethings can never be replaced (-:

First Day of School Featuring: Hot Air Balloons!

August 27th was Py’s first day of school she was starting First Grade in a new school and even gets to ride the bus.  She went to kindergarten at the same place she had been in Pre-K since she was three and a half so this day was sort of a big deal!   She was so excited, she made sure her clothes were laid out told me she wanted to pack her first day, you know in case they were having peas for lunch there.

When we went outside to wait for the bus what did we see?

While Py was a tad nervous or excited…Phoebe was loving what we saw….

Hot Air Balloons!   Since it was also my birthday Chad asked what I wanted to do, I wanted to go to the Balloons and Tunes not far from the house as you can see!  That was something to look forward to after school.  After watching the balloons for a few minutes we went to the corner to catch the bus.  Luckily her friend was riding the bus too so she wasn’t alone and yes that made this Mommy feel a TON better!  She was so comfortable with her friend that she didn’t even say goodbye she ran for that bus got on and sat in the front seat,  looked out at me with the biggest grin she was in heaven.   The funny thing is I had a long talk about how she couldn’t be shy and Mommy couldn’t go with her but the bus was going to be fun and she would make new friends.  My talk after seeing her get on that bus like a pro was out the window and that’s ok!

All day I was a nervous wreck, did Py make friends? did she talk to much? did she talk too little? did she like her lunch?  Did she like her teacher, the bus driver the bus???  I even missed my exit coming home thinking about it!   I got home just in time even sat in the garage for a few minutes until my neighbor came out to pick up her daughter.

When she got off the bus she had an extra back pack seems she won a drawing from meet the teacher day! and it was HEAVY full of all kinds of fun stuff.  Needless to say that just made her day better once we got in the house she had a snack then off to play until Daddy got home so we could go to the festival.

Phoebe loved the balloons most of all Py was excited to play in the kids area, so Daddy took Py to play and Phoebe and I enjoyed all the balloons.

I got some pretty balloons shots I wish I could have gotten closer!

The next day we were playing in the back yard with Phoebe (Py was out front with her friends) when they went up again and right over our house!  Phoebe waved and everyone that went over head was sweet enough to wave back (-:

So close to us!

We had a great two days with the beginning of a new school, new friends and a bus she loves.  Then to top it all off the hot air balloons.  If you ever have a balloon fest in your area you need to go they are just amazing to see!   Phoebe especially loved them, she seemed genuinely excited with each balloon that she saw and I can’t wait to see them again!

A Pea’s 6th Pinkalicious Birthday Party

A few months ago a new little shop opened up in out town, and everyday on their way to school Pyper would yell to Chad ….”PINKALICIOUS!”    So when she got home the first night after seeing this store I jumped online to see what it was all about.  The store was so new the website was not quite finished but we saw that they did birthday parties and this is where she wanted hers.  No other friend had one there yet so we thought it would be fun and new!   So the day of her graduation from Kindergarten we ran down to get the prices.  Not too too bad I thought I spent more on the Rock Star Party than if we paid for this one three times!  and no house to clean up after wards.  So we booked her party and invite every little girl she knew.

Py chose the Pajama Rama : (taken from the website)

http://www.pinkaliciousparties.com/pages/pajamarama.htm

Let the fun begin! Pinkalicious is all yours! We close the doors for you and your entourage. Come dressed in your fave jammies and bring your fave sleeping bag and get ready for a fun-filled 2 hours.   We start this party up with your choice of party up-dos. Then we head over to the sparkle spa for mini facials and a dab of color on your nails and toes! You choose the music and we’ll sing the night away with lots of dancing and games!   We provide our signature jumbo cupcakes, beverage and party products!

When we got there they took Py first for her “updo”

Then her mini  facial with lots and lots of glitter because seriously what kind of party would it be without glitter? …

Picking out her finger nail color and patiently waiting her turn….

Then the toes!      Oh the toes she was really excited about this one (can’t you tell LOL) …..

they even tried to do Phoebe’s toes but she was too fast for them!

The girls loved the run way….made sure to pose and everything.

Then they did the Limbo and the Hokey Pokie (even the littlest peas tried to hang with the big kids)

Oh the karaoke!  Some of those little ones were really getting into that microphone! Sadly the oldest peas chose to be an audience member BUT the littlest peas started her comedic career when she jump up on the stage in front of everyone and did a raspberry when no one would clap for her now that brought on the cheers! (-:!

Group photo time each pf the girls got a pic to take home, sadly they were terrible all dark and heads were cut off good thing Chad and I took some too!

Once the big picture was taken the girls got to go to the back where the pizza and Pinkalicious’s famous BIG cupcakes were!

Everyone enjoyed the pizza it was from the same place we went to after Py’s kindergarten graduation we LOVE that pizza Grandstand Pizza downtown GC!

The cupcakes were PINK !   She blew out the candle so fast the first time they lit it again so I could take a picture!

When some of the parents got there we still weren’t finished so we invited little Max for a cupcake too….do you see that look on Phoebe’s face wondering how the “boy” got in here!

Then the candy bar the biggest hit on said bar …. Gigantic marshmallows (heard from the back of the room Chad saying…”I would love to see the cup of hot chocolate that goes in!” )

One last shot before we leave the shop of the two peas.

I believe all the girls had a great time and I know Py wants to go back!

So here’s to another great party…..

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY TO MY VERY FIRST PEA!

A Kindergarten Graduation

The day came …. she talked about it for weeks …. she reiterated who all was coming to the ceremony before bed each night and finally it was here:

THE  GC GODDARD SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN CLASS OF 2010

June 4, 2010 Py tried on three dresses before finding perfect one, she got her sweater and backpack for the last time and head for the car. (Oh dear we need to paint those walls!)

Py was waiting at the window when we arrived at the school.  She was so happy!

There were thirteen children in her graduating class, and I could pin each personality…the class clown, the shy one, the most friendly (which by the way Py was voted in the class and was so proud)!

Miss Jenny had the children right on the track for the entire program, only a few tears were shed and Miss Kristen well she might have cried the whole time (- :

For the program the kids counted to one hundred three ways….by twos, by five and by tens!  They sang a few songs in english and in spanish and each took turns reading from a book.   The children that read the quietest read alone so the parents could hear them, they all did a wonderful job!

Pyper and her friend read together, Py not quiet ….who knew LOL!  I wish I didn’t have to stand in the back row this picture is too fuzzy!

When all was said and done Py wanted to take some pictures and wanted her picture taken with her friends and teachers.   It sure made this Mom happy to see how much she loved Miss Kristen and Miss Jenny, the year started off a little rough but she ended up with all A’s and just a couple S’s (always and sometimes)

Showing the Daddy pea some pictures she took, then realizing those flowers (from Daddy, Grandma, Papa and Mommy) were for her she turned red and was slightly embarrassed but I am pretty sure she loved them.

Yeah, she loved them (-:

One last picture of the girls …….

AND the boyfriend, Caleb it was his last day he wouldn’t be staying for the summer program so his Mom took our phone number for a playdate.  Before we left Caleb ran out and shook Py all excited that they were going on a “play DATE” it was hysterical.  (she told me she likes Caleb because he’s funny and she likes his hair he does have great hair)

After graduation we kept our celebration in town, we have lived here 5 years and had yet to experience the little shops and restaurants in our historic downtown.  First stop Grandstand Pizza – and while the pizza was cooking us girls ran over to Pinkalicious http://www.pinkaliciousparties.com/ to book your 6th b-day party…more on that later

After pizza and boy was it GOOD we ran across the street to Graeter’s http://www.graeters.com/  the best ice cream ever!

Our little girl is growing up and no I don’t like it!  It feels like we just brought her home yesterday, like she just started preschool and it could not be possible that she just finished kindergarten.

A baby no more!  First Grade here she comes I hope you can handle her we know she can handle you !

Until then we will enjoy summer keep up with out blog as we talk birthday parties and the garden that we hope will grow!
